Olives are life, landscape and beauty and provide us with food and health.
The Greek thought the olive to be divine. Olives have been cultivated on the Balearic Islands for over 3000 years, being the most exported product over centuries from Mallorca.
The olive tree reflects the energy of the mediterranean sun, the breeze of the sea, the fertility of the earth and the pureness of the rainwater. Its fruit, the olive, provides us with the purest mallorcan scent in form of an olive oil, unique in colour and taste.
In the year 2006 the brothers Mayol decided to cultivate commercially and refine the olive trees on the family’s property.
They planted more than 2500 olive trees in five varieties.
The production is entirely ecological being able to provide healthy olive oil in ist best form.
Empeltre, the most traditional and delicious variety, similar to the mallorcan
Arbequina, small aromatic fruit,
soft in taste
Picual, rich in antioxidates, bitter and spicy, intensive taste

Cultivating and harvesting the olives
Intensive ecological dedication and care, watersaving irrigation, organic fertilizer of our own compost, keeping domestic animals (poultrey, bees), wild living animals (poultrey, bats)
Harvesting of the green olives (better flavour), cold pressing in 24 hours after harvesting (< 27°)
Our olive oils are native and without any chemical additions
A harmonic olive oil with fruity flavour of green olives, aromatic light with bitter and spicy notes

The book „EL LIBRO DEL ACEITE” published by El Gall Editors describes cultivation, history, importance and future of the mallorcan olive oil, available at our headquarter or in bookstores.

Rei Sanç is a project of several mallorcan ecoligical olive growers, of the region of Pla de Llevant, getting ist international reputation at the Biofach-fair in Nuremberg.
For this olive oil we filter specially selected olives of the varieties arbequina, picual and empeltre
Additionally we refine other olive varieties
HOJIBLANCA, a juicy variety, which is known for ist characteristic intense flavour
FRANTOIO, initially from the italian Tuscanny, touching all your senses
The combination of these olive varieties allows us to offer the olive oil Algebici, using the arabic name „Algebici” of the possession of the father of Ramon Llull, being in property since the conquist (1229). Our headquarter is part of this ground. This olive oil won a silver medal in Japan.
